Quality Team Lead will be expected to assist and guide team members with sampling inspections, tests and checks of product in accordance with approved plans and procedures for Quality. Quality Team Lead will be expected to use training, experience and good judgement while performing quality tasks. Quality Team Lead is expected to ensure a safe and clean work environment and will assist department in all areas when requested.

Uses basic knowledge of Quality Control concepts, practices, and procedures.
Proficient in all Quality areas of responsibilities:
- Incoming Inspection, In-process Production Inspection, Production Final Quality Control Checks and Final Distribution Inspection.
- Provides back-up coverage for quality positions as needed.
- Responsible for providing on-the-job training to the Quality Team members.
- Monitors team members’ performance to ensure training is successful and employee is competent to perform the job responsibilities.
- Determines if/any additional training is required.
- Investigate Shipping issues/concerns as required.
Communication to Quality Team by:
- Providing clear instructions
- Listening/evaluating feedback.
Decisions making:
- Evaluates completion and effectiveness of 6S responsibilities owned by the Quality Team.
- Determine if rejected sub-assembled or finished product (nonconforming product) should be Reworked.
- Reports issues to Quality Manager and area management.
Maintain confidentiality at all times regarding:
- Employee information: salary, disciplinary actions and etc.
- Business decisions discussed with any levels of management (layoffs, terminations and etc).
- Miscellaneous conversations with immediate Supervisor, Manager, Director, and/or any level of management.
- Review Production associated Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions for applicability, accuracy and completeness; provide feedback to Production and Quality.
- Document production non-conformances in accordance with applicable procedures and processes as required.
- Maintain log of any Quality Control errors and run weekly reports of Inspection results.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.

- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows & Office
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of our products and services to effectively handle Quality Inspection issues and/or failures
- Ability to prioritize and shift priorities quickly as need dictates
- Interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of organizations.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented with commitment to the success of the team and organizational goals to track and complete assignments
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must possess ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Must possess ability to perform repetitive motion.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma
- Leadership Experience- 1-3 years
- Experience working as Quality Assurance Inspector I and Quality Assurance Inspector II (or equivalent)
- All prospective employees must pass a background and drug check.
