To setup, run and maintain press and related equipment to produce quality product as directed by customer and job ticket specifications.

Responsibilities


  • Press operators will be responsible to setup and maintain all aspects of the press.
  • Press operators will be responsible to identify and correct any issues with equipment and/or product to ensure the highest quality product is being produced including but not limited to: registration, density, color shift.
  • Press operators will have knowledge of paper products, inks, and their interactions with each other to ensure the highest quality product is being produced.
  • Responsible to follow all work procedures and instructions per training and instruction by Department Manager. Responsible to communicate any questions to the appropriate person or department.
  • Must demonstrate acceptable color acuity. Failure to do so will result in all jobs run being color approved and monitored by supervisor with acceptable color acuity.
  • Responsible to adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Responsible to conduct all quality checks and adhere to the Allied Group Quality System.
  • Work to maximize efficiency and productivity on all projects by utilizing all of the resources available.
  • Project a positive attitude and promote teamwork.
  • Responsible to attend and participate in any and all daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual meetings per invitation and instruction.
  • Utilize our Quality Management System to promote an understanding of our customer needs and expectations
  • Help promote a culture where we exceed customer expectations
  • Responsible to comply with The Allied Group Quality Policy & Quality Management System

Skills & Qualifications



Education:High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience:3 to 5 years commercial printing experience

Skills:Read/write English, Mechanical and troubleshooting ability, color acuity

Physical Demands: Lifting, bending, standing, walking
