POSITION OVERVIEW: The Distribution Manager leads a diverse, dynamic evolving team that handles the pulling and shipping of laboratory supplies and Direct to Consumer kitting in support of the medical industry. The Distribution Manager will make informed decisions pursuing performance improvement and own the solutions that drive operational excellence. The manager will collaborate across all teams with a concentration working with Production, Staging, Purchasing, Inventory, Product Development, Implementations, Processing, Quality Assurance, Accounting, Sales, HR and IT to own the delivery of services and product to the customers. Maintain and foster the highest standards and adhering to the requirements of the ISO 13485 certification and represent Distribution in Audits as it relates to the function. The Distribution Manager will oversee two Supervisors ensuring accuracy and SOP compliance for the teams of pullers and shippers. The Distribution Manager reports to the Sr. Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for Distribution
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting co-worker and client relationships
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key client stakeholders and executive sponsors
  • Liaise between clients and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to client needs and objectives
  • Forecast, track, and brief metrics for distribution to develop, drive, and oversee accuracy and quality
  • Participate in staff development by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities
  • Maintain a 98% on time performance for all orders
  • Ensure quality service by influencing and enforcing organization standards
  • Ensures a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Solve for personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Continuously look at process improvements and share ideas with the Sr. Operations Manager
  • Monitor individual metrics and counsel/reward those individuals accordingly
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports to HR on time
  • Recommend staffing level changes based off current and future workflow

Skills & Qualifications

ABILITIES REQUIRED:

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ Years’ experience in direct operational supervision experience
  • College degree preferred in a related field
