About Us:
We are a dynamic and growing Healthcare Kitting & Specialty Logistics company with a large-scale office space renovation, assembly production facility fit-out, HVAC installation, and external parking lot build underway. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Contract Project Manager to join our team and oversee these complex projects. The role will involve managing multiple stakeholders, including architectural firms, general contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring the projects stay on track, on budget, and are completed to the highest standards.
Job Overview:
The Contract Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the construction activities related to the office renovation, facility fit-out, parking lot construction, and HVAC installation projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with expertise in reviewing architectural drawings and understanding the intricacies of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role will require close collaboration with our internal leadership team, including the VP of Human Resources, CEO, CFO, SVP of Operations, and the Plant Director.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the execution of various construction and renovation projects, ensuring that all activities adhere to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architectural firms, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure the smooth progress of projects.
  • Review architectural drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure proper implementation of construction and design plans.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Liaise with the VP of Human Resources, CEO, CFO, SVP of Operations, and the Plant Director to provide regular updates and manage expectations.
  • Monitor and track project progress, addressing any issues that arise promptly to avoid delays or budget overruns.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of construction activities with other ongoing operations.
  • Ensure proper management of the HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems in accordance with project specifications.
  • Handle vendor relationships, review contracts, and ensure timely procurement of materials and equipment.
  • Assist in the coordination and scheduling of contractors and other personnel working on-site.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction, architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Experience managing large-scale office renovations, production facility fit-outs, and/or infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership and various teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently, be proactive, and take ownership of project outcomes.
  • Proficiency with project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar platforms).
  • Ability to work on-site in Columbus, GA, and available for 20-30 hours per week.
Preferred:
  • PMP or other project management certifications.
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Georgia.
  • Experience working with both contractors and internal teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
