The Assistant Manager assists the General Manager to run the day-to-day operations of a designated location. This role will assist with managing productivity and ensuring the locations team delivers world-class customer service to all customers, monitors driver routes, cost control and expenses, and contribute to weekly and monthly reports developed by the General Manager. The Assistant Manager is involved with profit/loss, continuous improvement, service delivery levels, personnel management and the overall success of the location.
Responsibilities
- Aids in the training of all new hires.
- Establishes open lines of communication with employees, clients, and outside vendors.
- Ensures daily route coverage by being proactive and diligent in the management of this task.
- Provides division oversight in the absence of the General Manager.
- Monitors CXT routes, reviews reporting, troubleshoots issues, and training support.
- Provides document creation support, document printing support an document submission support as directed by the General Manager.
- Provides oversight to the shipper box program for the general laboratory specimens.
- Performs administrative tasks, such as filing for various purposes (personal, missed punch, fleet, vehicle inspection, etc.).
- Schedules vehicle maintenance, body shop submission, windshield repairs, etc.
- Assists the General Manager in enforcing company policies, rules and regulations.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, logistics or related field preferred.
- 3+ years supervisory management experience; medical courier experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely and have a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screenings, such as drug, background & motor vehicle report.
