Responsibilities
Our Role:
The Staffing Specialist is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and supporting hourly employees in a fast-paced environment for our Columbus, GA facilities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for employees and hiring managers, ensuring staffing needs are met while delivering an exceptional candidate and employee experience. Our Staffing Specialist must enjoy connecting with people, and be passionate about helping to build a reliable workforce, that keeps operations running efficiently! This role is fully onsite, Monday through Friday.
Your Impact:
- Recruit, screen, interview, and onboard associates to meet staffing goals.
- Point of contact for all communication with agencies for staffing and temporary matters.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure all prescreen requirements are completed, per the direction of local HR.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and leaders, regularly addressing staffing needs or issues.
- Maintain a consistent onsite presence, regularly holding employee check-ins, to help promote a positive work culture of value and support.
- Conduct new hire surveys at 30-60-90 days, in order to monitor new employee engagement.
- Maintain accurate applicant information and process within the applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Attend hiring events, job fairs, and other activities to help build talent pipelines within the community.
- Track recruiting metrics and provide staffing updates to recruiting leadership on a regular basis.
- Other HR related duties and special projects as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1–3 years of recruiting, staffing, customer service, or human resources experience preferred.
- Experience in recruiting high-volume hourly employees in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with ATS and HRIS systems. ADP is a plus.
